The Foundation is very pleased to announce its financial support for the creation of two murals for the 200 and 250 floors of the CHSLD Mgr Ross.
This project, initiated by Ms. Kim Bernatchez, a special education teacher, aimed to improve the quality of life in the area by adding attractive visual elements representing the Gaspé Peninsula. It is a $4,500 project, for which the Foundation has committed to funding $2,850 in collaboration with other local partners. Some elements of these murals will also strengthen the residents' sense of belonging.
We would also like to congratulate the artist Isabelle Turbide for her talent. On the first mural, she was able to amply highlight local elements, such as the church of Saint-Maurice, the lighthouse of Cap-des-Rosiers, the head of an Indian, etc. while the second perfectly represents activities, hobbies, jobs, etc. to which residents can relate.
This grant is perfectly in line with one of the Foundation's objectives in its mission, which is to improve the quality of life and care in our health care institutions. You too can make a targeted donation specifically for the CHSLD Mgr Ross.
