THE FOUNDATION FINANCE A SARA STEDY FOR THE HOSPITALIZATION UNIT

The Fondation Santé Côte-de-Gaspé is pleased to announce the grant for an equipment worth 2 250$ for the hospitalization unit.

The Sara Stedy is a transfer device used to help users move from a sitting position to a standing position, which facilitates certain hygiene care, such as dressing or personal hygiene. It also ensures better safety for both the nursing staff and the user during transfers to the bed, chair, wheelchair or even the toilet. It is a device more suitable for users with greater loss of autonomy.

The addition of this equipment to the unit allows the optimization of safety and maintenance of acquired skills during hospitalization episodes, which is consistent with the promotion of maintaining autonomy, rehabilitation and return home.

This grant perfectly meets one of the objectives of the Foundation in its mission, namely to improve the quality of life and care in our health establishments.
