THE FOUNDATION CONTRIBUTES TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW FITNESS ROOM AT THE PAVILLON CANTIN

On December 18, 2023, the kinesiology room on the 3rd floor of the Pavillon Cantin, was inaugurated. The Fondation Santé Côte-de-Gaspé has granted $25,000 in funding for the gym's training equipment. Among the donors, the Deputy for Gaspé, Mr. Stephane Ste-Croix, the Jean-Coutu Pharmacy and several doctors also contributed to financing the project.

This room ensures the sustainability of the follow-up program for patients with chronic diseases. Its location here makes it more accessible for people with physical limitations and allows doctors to mobilize the follow-up of users, which is an important asset for the health services offered to our population.

This program is offered to more than 160 people annually, allowing them to better understand their chronic disease and help them learn how to control it. For this reason, the Foundation is proud to collaborate on the project as it demonstrates its mission: to ensure a better quality of care, health and social services for our entire community.
