THE FONDATION SANTÉ CÔTE-DE-GASPÉ GRANTS AN EQUIPMENT LOAN KIT FOR THE HOME SUPPORT SERVICE

The Foundation is pleased to announce the granting of an equipment loan kit as part of a project to consolidate home support (SAD) teams. This kit made up of various soothing, stimulating and/or occasional items will help people suffering from TNCM (major neurocognitive disorder).

Some of these objects can be loaned to families in order to be able to assess the positive impact of the use of these objects by their loved one and then be able to obtain them personally.

This is a non-pharmacological approach to reduce medication intake in order to reduce anxiety and satisfy an emotional need by simulating social contacts. Their quality of life and their maintenance at home could therefore be improved.

The Foundation is proud to participate in this project which perfectly meets our mission: to ensure better quality of services and life in our local services.
