The Foundation is pleased to inform the population of Grand-Gaspé that it is funding four billirubinometers for the territory's C.L.S.C. establishments.

This grant, of just over $30,000, will make it possible to detect hyperbilirubinemia, otherwise known as "jaundice" in babies born by transcutaneous. This will also avoid the risk of infection by blood test in this sector while allowing nurses to bring the device with them during home visits.

The Fondation Santé Côte-de-Gaspé is proud to contribute to improving the quality of health services and maintaining the well-being of newborns. These acquisitions will also contribute to modernizing the medical equipment of the C.LS.C. on the Gaspe Coast.
