The Fondation Santé Côte-de-Gaspé has agreed to fund $1,300 for a NADA acupuncture session for CRRI clients. It is also considering the possibility of funding two additional sessions following a positive outcome of this one.
For nearly 50 years, the NADA protocol has been used in more than 3,000 mental health and addictions management programs around the world. The treatment focuses on five auricular acupuncture points that help rebalance the body's energy and help restore inner calm, while improving vitality.
The clientele who will be able to benefit from these treatments free of charge are people in rehabilitation who have received services from two other organizations, Aid'elle and Mi-Chemin Gaspé, living with post-traumatic stress problems, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders and addiction.
The Foundation is therefore proud to contribute to this project, which perfectly meets one of its mission: to improve the quality of care, health and social services for our community.
